Learning to Think, Thinking to Learn

Way Beyond Tutoring
It’s not tutoring. It’s individualized intervention. The purpose of the individualized intervention is to strengthen the underlying causes of learning difficulties rather than just simply treating the symptoms as tutoring does.

What is NILD Therapy?
The National Institute for Learning Development (NILD) has developed tools for learning that offer hope. This individualized approach involves intensive mediated learning. These methods have worked to transform over 100,000 students worldwide.

Frequently asked Questions
What’s the average length of therapy? It varies depending upon the student. It is dependent on three things, the severity and scope of the deficit, how early the problem is identified and the work done outside of therapy by student and parent.

Personal and targeted approach
Consultation
We can work with parents to help them find the needs and approach that best meet those needs.
Goals
Individualized attention requires academic, social, emotional, and behavioral goals. We will sit down with clients and build these goals together.
Therapy
The specific approach is developed and executed with a high level of communication, including a partnership between the therapist, home, and school.
Personal and Targeted Approach
Annual assessments are done to measure standardized progress, but success is also measured by confidence and growth as an independent learner.
