Pearl Adult Learning
What we do
Adult Programming
It is estimated that 40 million adults in the US suffer from dyslexia. Another 14 million have been diagnosed with ADHD. 1 in every 9 adults over 40 suffers from mild cognitive decline. In addition to all of this, 75% of patients who undergo chemotherapy experience cognitive impairment.
Here at the Pearl Center, we believe in the modifiability of the brain. Therefore, we offer adult classes designed to offer support for these common conditions.
Adult Programming can be in the form of individual therapy sessions, or small group classes that are short intensives offered once or twice a week, lasting 5-10 weeks.
Programs Include:
Thinking Memory
A small group class designed to teach strategies that help with memory and forgetfulness.
FIE Classes
A small group class with activities designed to keep the mind active, grow cognitive function, and increase problem-solving and organizational skills.
Chemo Brain Therapy
Uses FIE techniques in one-on-one or group approaches designed to help in the recovery from chemotherapy and its effects on cognitive impairment.
